Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2: Competitive Tournaments Guide & Updates

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 has arrived, bringing exciting changes to the competitive scene. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a newcomer looking to compete, understanding the tournament structure, leaderboard system, and event schedules is crucial for success. This guide provides everything you need to know about upcoming tournaments, rewards, and strategic planning to stay ahead of the competition.

Enhanced Competitive Tab: Easier Navigation & Customization

Epic Games has revamped the Compete Tab, making it easier to track tournaments, rewards, and standings. Players can now filter events based on:

    • Game Mode: Battle Royale or Zero Build

    • Team Size: Solo, Duos, Trios, Squads

    • Region: NA-East/NA-Central, NA-West, Oceania, Asia, Middle East, Europe, Brazil

    • Tournament Type: FNCS, Cash Cups, Victory Cups, Ranked Cups, Shop Cups, Performance Evaluations

    • Eligibility: Events based on player rank and qualification status

The updated interface allows for quick access to relevant events and a seamless experience when planning tournament participation.

    Weekly & Monthly Tournament Scheduling

    Weekly View

The default view showcases all tournaments happening within the week. Each event displays the local start time based on the player's region.

    Monthly View

For long-term planning, the monthly calendar provides an overview of all scheduled events, including:

    • Cash Cups

    • FNCS Events

    • Victory Cups

    • Performance Evaluations

    • Ranked Cups

By applying filters, players can tailor the display to only show events relevant to their playstyle and region. If an event isn’t listed for future months, Epic may add more competitions later.

    Dedicated Event Pages & Bookmarking

Each tournament features a dedicated event page, offering key details such as:

    • Start Time (adjusted for the player's local region)

    • Event Schedule (including round breakdowns)

    • Reward Structure (cash prizes, in-game rewards)

    • Scoring System (points awarded for placements, eliminations, and performance milestones)

Players can bookmark events, triggering a reminder notification in Fortnite 24 hours before the tournament begins.

    Leaderboard System & Player Stats

The Fortnite leaderboard has been refined for better tracking. Key features include:

    • Qualification Thresholds: Points required to advance to the next round

    • Regional Rankings: Placement of teams and individuals

    • Performance Metrics: Victory Royales, eliminations, average placement, total points

    Privacy Options

Players who prefer anonymity can disable Public Game Stats in the settings, appearing as a “Mystery Competitor” on leaderboards.

Chapter 6 Season 2 Tournament Updates & Competitive Format

With the launch of Season 2, Epic Games has fine-tuned the Divisional Cups structure:

    • Players reaching the Major’s Group Stage or Finals remain in Division 1

    • Division 2 promotions have doubled for each region

    • Returning Division 2 players or those relegated from Division 1 will start in Division 2

    • Division 3 promotions remain unchanged

    New Events Incoming! Stay Updated

Not all tournaments are visible at launch, as Epic adds events throughout the season. Stay tuned for updates via the Compete Tab or official Fortnite social channels.
